What a Charleston Design Center Kitchen Renovation Includes

Most kitchen renovation resources give you part of the equation. CDC gives you all of it — under one roof, in one showroom, managed by one design team.

Cabinetry — The Foundation of Every Kitchen

The cabinetry is the single most important decision in any kitchen renovation. It determines the visual character, the storage functionality, the durability over decades of daily use, and the bulk of the project budget. We carry a comprehensive range of cabinet lines — from quality semi-custom to full custom — displayed in our showroom with working doors, drawers, and hardware so you can evaluate quality firsthand, not from a catalog.

  • — Our most-specified semi-custom line for the Lowcountry market. Plywood box construction, dovetail drawer boxes, soft-close hinges and drawer slides standard, dozens of door profiles and finish colors. 8–12 week lead time. Exceptional quality at an honest price.Fabuwood

  • — Semi-custom with an expanded finish and door profile range. Strong in transitional and contemporary kitchen aesthetics. Plywood construction.Fieldstone

  • — Semi-custom with a strong value tier. Multiple door profiles, painted and stained finishes. Plywood construction. Good for renovation budgets that require quality without premium pricing.Homecrest

  • — Semi-custom and custom options. Inset and full-overlay profiles. Expanded customization range for kitchens that require more specific configurations or dimensions.Ultracraft

  • — Fully custom cabinetry for projects that demand complete specification control. Design-forward profiles, exceptional finish quality, complete dimensional flexibility. The specification for Kiawah Island, Daniel Island, and premium primary residences.Grabill

  • — A complementary custom line for clients who want full customization with a specific aesthetic range.Fairmount Design

  • — Knobs, pulls, and decorative hardware across a comprehensive range of finishes and profiles to complete every cabinet specification.Jeffrey Alexander Hardware

Countertops — The Surface That Transforms the Kitchen

The countertop material defines the kitchen's visual centerpiece and its maintenance reality. We carry full-slab samples of every countertop material — not 4-inch chips — so the decision is made at real scale in real light.

  • — Our most-specified countertop for Charleston-area kitchens. Non-porous, zero maintenance, no sealing ever. Handles the demands of active family life, vacation rental use, and coastal humidity without complaint. Available in hundreds of profiles from clean white to dramatically veined Calacatta looks. Calacatta Gold, Statuario, and Caesar Stone White Attica are our most popular profiles.Quartz

  • — Natural stone with luminous depth that photography cannot fully capture. Taj Mahal, Super White, Monte Bello, and Calacatta Macchia Vecchia are our most-requested slabs. Requires annual sealing. The countertop of choice for primary residence clients who love natural stone and commit to its care.Quartzite

  • — Natural stone at a more accessible price point. Heat resistant. Unique slab character. Annual sealing required. Every granite slab is one of a kind.Granite

  • — Large-format, virtually maintenance-free, and the only countertop we specify for outdoor kitchen applications. Also an excellent choice for kitchen islands in high-use environments.Porcelain Slab

  • — For clients who accept its care requirements in exchange for its irreplaceable aesthetic character. We advise honestly on maintenance expectations before any marble specification.Marble

Flooring — The Surface That Ties the Kitchen to the Home

Kitchen flooring must handle spills, foot traffic, and the general demands of the most-used room in the house while connecting visually to the adjacent living spaces. The flooring decision affects the entire main level — and should be made in the context of the full kitchen design, not independently.

  • — Our most-specified flooring for Charleston-area kitchen renovations. 100% waterproof, durable through decades of kitchen traffic, and available in realistic wood-look and stone-look formats that look genuinely beautiful. 20-mil wear layer minimum for kitchen applications. The mandatory specification for coastal and vacation rental kitchens.Premium LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank)

  • — For primary residences with consistent climate control and owners who want authentic wood character throughout the main level. Wide-plank (6–8 inch) engineered white oak in natural or wire-brushed finish is the current Lowcountry standard for premium primary residence kitchens.Engineered White Oak

  • — The classic kitchen surface for homeowners who want a tile aesthetic. Matte finish for safety and slip resistance. Large-format (24x24 or larger) for a contemporary appearance with minimal grout lines.Porcelain Tile

Appliances — Wholesale Pricing Through Our Wholesale Appliance Center

The kitchen renovation conversation at CDC always includes appliances — because appliance dimensions determine cabinet configurations, delivery timing must be coordinated with cabinet installation, and purchasing appliances separately from cabinets wastes money that could be directed to better materials.

Through our Wholesale Appliance Center, we offer 15–30% below retail pricing on premium appliance lines — Wolf, Sub-Zero, Thermador, KitchenAid, and Bosch — with full manufacturer warranties. On a $15,000 appliance package, that difference is $2,250 to $4,500 that can go toward the countertop tier you actually want.

Ready to see what your kitchen could look like? Come to our showroom — walk-ins always welcome.

Design Consultation — Complimentary, No Obligation

Every kitchen renovation at CDC begins with a complimentary design consultation. Our designers work with you to understand your kitchen's existing conditions, your design vision, your lifestyle requirements, and your budget — and translate that into specific material recommendations that make genuine sense for your home and your situation.

The consultation happens in our showroom, where you can see every material at real scale. Cabinet door in the same light as the countertop slab. Flooring sample on the floor next to the cabinet display. The decisions that feel abstract on a computer screen become clear in person.

Installation Coordination — One Point of Contact

We coordinate with your contractor and our installation teams to ensure that cabinet delivery, countertop template scheduling, flooring installation, and appliance delivery happen in the right sequence without the delays that come from managing multiple uncoordinated vendors. The renovation sequencing we follow has been refined across hundreds of Charleston-area kitchen projects — and it shows in the projects that finish on time and the ones that do not.
